Warriors of Warrington Swimming Club sent a team of 10 swimmers across to Wrexham to take part in the Wrexham Junior Sprint Gala on Saturday 17th November. There were several swimmers who were competing at an external gala for the first time, and a very inexperienced team performed superbly well, achieving many PBs.
The most experienced swimmer in the team, Amy Sanderson, led the way with strong performances in the 50m Freestyle and 100m Individual Medley, winning 2 gold medals for her efforts. The boys were not to be left out, with George Houghton achieving a first and third place finish, and Thomas Benson weighing in with 2 silver medals.
It was great to see such strong performances from all of the team who took part, and Warriors showed that they have real strength in depth across the squads and abundant ability across all ages. A massive well done to the whole team!
