Las Playitas, Fuereventura
On 18th February - 25th February 2023, Warriors of Warrington Swimming club travelled to Las Playitas, Fuerteventura for an intensive swim training camp.
The camp saw 41 Warriors swimmers continue the experiences of Cyprus 2020 and the trip to Mount Kelly in 2021 by making memories for life, with swimmers completing over 22 hours of training in an outdoor 50m swimming pool at the fantastic Las Playitas Resort.
This provided the swimmers with an experience not many swimmers have the opportunity to achieve in their swimmer career, swimming over 60km in a week! They also had the opportunity to train alongside many athletes from other counties.
A big thank you is expressed to our excellent coaching team, Darren and Gatley along with the amazing support provided by all the chaperones, who without the trip could never have taken place. Swimzi once again produced fantastic swim kit and thanks to Sports Abroad for organising the camp.The camp was a real success with all swimmers coming back with having had a brilliant time and even trying their hand at a little surfing!
